Job Title: Painter Primary Function: Under the direction of the Paint Department Supervisor/Team Lead perform a variety of tasks related to the painting and finishing details in the production process per specifications and in accordance with the production schedule. This position will be required to perform other duties outside of the paint department. Position Responsibilities: Maintain a safe work environment Details are dependent on duties assigned, in general consist of the following: Prepare surfaces of parts and equipment to be painted using brushes, scrapers, solvents, air grinders/sanders, etc. Pay apply tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated. May mix and prepare paint material for use. Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface when needed. Transport of production components to proper location and set up parts and equipment to be painted. May perform sandblasting duties as required. Utilization of tank flushing equipment and station.
